Some years ago some bands were attacked by a force greater than our earthly minds can comprehend. They were broken up and left bleeding in the fifth dimension and would be oblivious to this attack. And from their other dimensional ashes the PPTA arose like a rocket ship searing to the skies to challenge the gods themselves!! It’s fuel tanks filled with highly flammable THRASH METAL designed for speed and aggression when ignited. For this world is the PPTA’s arena and all that does not thrash madly about already must adapt or be slammed into the ropes until they submit. In spring 2011 the PPTA has invaded the studio known as the Blast furnace and there from super heated steel they hammered an blasted a new album into existence. And was called: BEATEN BROKEN BLEEDING
The 2nd album is currently being mixed and is almost ready to be unleashed upon the world.
On the 20th of November 2015 – Ultimate Aike was pounded into the ground on stage by the evil Tiger Nima Singh and took over his vocals.
On the 12th of October 2016 – Tiger Nima Singh was murdered by an unknown aggressor and drowned in a large bucket of ice.
The 1st of July 2017 Mad Dog Marcel joined the ranks of the PPTA as vocalist.
Als derde band komt Razorblade Messiah
Founded in September 2015, RAZORBLADE MESSIAH is a 4-piece Old School metal band, hailing from Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
Influenced by the great thrashers from the 80’s, with just a whiff of heavy-, speed- and powermetal, RAZORBLADE MESSIAH is all about pounding rhythms, soaring leads and crushing vocals, wrapped in aggression and melody.
Expect no mercy on your souls, while attending their shows…
“Iron Souls Remain United, Iron Beats of Metal Hearts.”
Als vierde band Sad Iron
Heavy metal band Sad Iron was formed 1979 in Hoorn, the Netherlands, by guitarist Bernard Rive. The band’s initial line-up was rounded out by Dirk Ooms (bass), Gerrit Soering (drums) and Jan Palenstijn (vocals). Following Sad Iron’s performance in a battle-of-the-bands competition, the audience unanimously agreed that they were among the Netherlands’ top metal acts. Shortly after, Sad Iron committed their first songs to vinyl, as part of the live split ‘Holland Heavy Metal Vol. 1’, which featured tracks from the band including ‘Sad Iron’, ‘Schoolgirls’ and ‘Thunder & Lightning’. Voted the best band of the evening, Sad Iron were awarded a day of studio time, which resulted in their full-length debut, ‘Total Damnation’! With new vocalist Herke van der Poel and, subsequently, new bassist Charles Heijnen, Sad Iron were ready for battle!
As one of the first speed metal bands in the Netherlands (possibly the very first), Sad Iron were compared to likes of Raven and Exciter and helped trigger the birth of the New Wave of Dutch Heavy Metal!
In 1985, Sad Iron entered the studio to record follow-up to ‘Total Damnation’. Entitled ‘The Antichrist’, the album would not see the light of day until many years later due to issues with various record labels, including bankruptcy. Following this misfortune, Sad Iron was put on the back burner, with the exception of some occasional live shows.
Nothing more was heard from Sad Iron until 2000, when they played a highly successful reunion show at the Heavy Metal Maniacs Festival in Hoorn. Revitalised, the band embarked on the Dutch Steel Attack Tour with fellow Netherlands bands Vortex and Hammerhawk, which saw them perform at a variety of venues both in the Netherlands and abroad.
In 2015, Sad Iron featured on the compilation album ‘Dutch Steel’, a project of renowned Dutch heavy metal journalist Robert Haagsma. Haagsma was also responsible for generating interest in the band’s second album, ‘The Antichrist’, which ultimately led to its release in 2016!
‘The Antichrist’ was received to critical acclaim from, amongst other publications, the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant, who referred to it as ‘a first-class feel-good album’.
Sad Iron are currently hard at work writing their third album, which will be released in the not-too-distant future.
Sad Iron 2017:
Marc van den Bos – Vocals and Rhythm Guitar
Bernard Rive – Lead Guitar
Charles Heijnen – Bass
Robert Bakker – Drums
With this line-up, Sad Iron made a shattering impact at the 2014 edition of the Heavy Metal Maniacs Festival, Mario’s Metal Meeting, Very ’Eavy Festival and Schollenpop. The band have also shared the stage with well-established names like Raven, Tokyo Blade, Praying Mantis and Satan, impressing metal fans with their super-tight performance and no-nonsense approach.
In short, Sad Iron are back with a vengeance!
